I’m a uk14 short in M&S and Next trousers, and the size 14 short fit me really well. They are nicely shaped, not too baggy or skinny, and I can even wear them without a belt without them being tight across the hips or thighs. The stretch makes them very comfortable even when bending down, climbing etc. The pockets are very deep, and easily fit even a large phone, which sits halfway down your thigh - not beautiful but very practical. Two small complaints: they rustle when you’re walking, and there is only one back pocket - as the fabric is thin, you might need to choose the right underwear to avoid vpl! They are quite water resistant (though I haven’t washed them yet and this may deteriorate) and seem to dry extremely quickly.
