When I first opened the package, I set the battery on the charger and left it. Came back and saw the lights were off so I plugged it into our fan. The fan ran for a little over an hour then went out. I was worried I received a faulty set because of the negative reviews.My husband looked at it and showed me you have to press the button on the battery while pushing it into place so that it latches on. If you don't press the button, it won't engage properly!I watched the negative feedback video review from the elderly lady and, sure enough, she is doing it wrong!Shortly after I opened the batteries to charge, my laundry room flooded and leaked under the wall to my bedroom laminate flooring :( We cleaned up the water we could, set the Dewalt fan in the laundry room to complete drying, got dressed, went floor shopping, grocery shopping then lunch. When we came home, the fan was still running.After it died, I put the second battery in and set the fan in the bedroom. A few hours later, it was still running.The batteries should work if you attach it properly to the charger.Okay so I'll admit it - I'm a fan of most Dewalt tools. And I've been a "corded" tool guy all this time - until I really needed a 'cordless router'. That's when I bought a Dewalt 20V cordless router DCW600B. But up to that point, I hadn't bought into the cordless game because of the high cost of batteries.The Dewalt 20V MAX Battery Starter Kit with two 5Ah Batteries, charger and bag is a game-changer. It got me in the game with Dewalt 20V cordless tools. I have since purchased several (okay now up to six?) Dewalt 20V tools. And for my use, I couldn't be happier. Since most all cordless tools come as 'tool only', this battery starter kit got me going. Now I can buy tools without having to worry about buying a battery. The batteries in this are genuine Dewalt. The battery charger DCB115 is a standard Dewalt 20V charger - but it also charges Dewalt 12V batteries of which I have 4. And the bag is large enough to hold everything plus one small cordless tool. FYI I like buying Dewalt 'kits' such as this battery starter kit because they're usually a bargain for everything that's included - and the bag in this case helps keep everything together - which I seem to have a problem with! I would (will) definitely buy this again. I highly recommend this especially if you have been holding out and have been waiting to get in the cordless game with Dewalt tools. Thanks.Excellent battery life with my older work light! Very expensive but when you apply for the Amazon credit card you get it for almost 1/2 price!I am using the batteries on my18V Dewalt tools. With the adapter, they fit everything except my Dewalt fluorescent work lights. The only negative is the adapter and 20V battery sticks out a little more than the standard 18V batteries. The longer battery life is well worth the conversion!Worth the money for 5AH.It added much more run time to the jobBought these to power some Dewalt fans. They’re great and last several hours. I’m very pleased.I like everything about it.I shouldn't give even one star. I never had a chance to use this product until after the return window was closed due to covid and no work. Each battery didn't last 2 minutes. Put them on the charger, it said they were fully charged. A friend took my batteries and charger to try, (he works in a different industry) he found out the charger was faulty. Dewalt would not stand up for thier product so it is the last time I will buy thier products. I hadn't used them before, thought I would try it. Bought the grease gun, 2 batteries, charger and thier bag. It's useless unless I purchase another charge. As it turns out the Milwaukee 12v grease gun I had been using for over 5 years only had a glitch and started working again. I've been using it since. I highly recommend Milwaukee tools.The batteries do last longer and are more powerful than the old style. I have both styles plus the adaptor to use old tools with new batteries and there is a difference in how long these stay powered.Très bon rapport qualité/prixProduct is a great addition for extra batteriesGood product
